Pukekohe Town Centre

Role:

Mapping & Interpretation Design

Client:

Auckland Transport, Franklin Local Board, Reset Urban Design

The redevelopment of Pukekohe town centre has been a seven-year project that includes streets, laneways, pocket parks, gateways and improvements to the ring road. A key aspect of these works has been the development of a number of wayfinding and interpretation features.

DallowBoss was commissioned to develop a network of map/interpretation panels that communicate the township’s agricultural and cultural heritage. The series of site-specific stories celebrate the pioneering characters and founders of the town, significant buildings and the entrepreneurial spirit upon which the town has been built.
