Hamilton’s Parks & Reserves

Role:

Wayfinding Strategy & Design

Client:

Hamilton City Council

As part of a wide program of parks and reserves signage renewals, DallowBoss was engaged to devise a suite of signage to meet the various needs of Hamilton City Council and improve the park experience for its residents and visitors.

An initial batch of 18 parks were reviewed with information and signage planning undertaken. A suite of elements was devised based on site findings that included; park ID signage, vehicle directions, pedestrian wayfinding maps, as well as smaller regulatory information panels.

The refreshed Council identity was used to introduce colour and background pattern to the signage, creating highly visible and legible features that bring consistency to Council’s messaging.
